With new malware being constantly introduced to the cyberspace every second, more netizens are at risk of being attacked. Singapore is no exception.
02 / DEFINITION
Malware is a software, program or file that contains malicious code which infects and harms the computer or device.
They can be in the form of viruses, spyware, adware, worms, ransomware, etc. They come with various purposes, such as stealing, encrypting, tempering, and deleting sensitive information. They may also hijack and or monitor the user’s computer activities.

With this malware demonstration (MemzVirus, BonziBuddy) and tutorial on different ways of protecting ourselves from malware, we hope that everyone will remain vigilant and take extra precautions when surfing the net and downloading software from unsecured websites.
